  • Not able to make appointment

    I have been trying to get an appointment date and it keeps showing:
    Please check date of issue of Fee receipt. It is valid 2 working days up to 1 year from date of issue.
    Are you entering details of the Fee receipt issued in your name?
    If the data is rightly captured and unable to create a new appointment select ‘Exit’ button and contact our help line for further information.

    I have no idea why this is happening anyone had the same problem?????
    Please advice what has to be done.

    Are u entering the 10 digit receipt number (the barcode number) starting with 9?

      yes I am entering the 10 digit barcode number starting with 9 and it is giving me this message.

        If its more than 2 days since u took the receipt and if u are sure u are entering the correct receipt number (like 9000080765), u have to contact VFS.

          yes the fee was paid on 14th of this month and it is a number 9 followed by 0's and some digits and am not able to get an appointment it says contact the US visa application center and gives local contact is it ok to contact them or should I contact VfS?????

                  i was able to log in now my question is


                  As I Am Putting Down Reason For Visit As Medical Consult What Should I Put Down For Period Of Stay And The Reason As
                  Medical Consult, Have Been Told That I Have Diabetes Uncontrolled Hypertension And Chronic Renal Failure So Want To Get Second Opinion. She Has Been Refused Under 214(b) Before And She Has Put Down Reason For Visit As Visiting Me And Medical Consult Last Time??
                  Putting Down What Would Make Her A Better Candidate For Getting The Visa?????
                  ALSO WHAT SHOULD I PUT DOWN FOR WHO WILL PAY FOR THE TRIP US HERE OR SHOULD SHE SAY HERSELF COZ SHE IS GOING TO SHOW SUFFICIENT FUNDS FOR THE SAME or put down my husband as the person paying.
                  AS WE ARE GOING TO BE PUTTING MEDICAL CONSULT CAN I PUT DOWN MY MOTHER AS CO-TRAVELLER?????

                      when i put in the receipt number it kept giving me the message that i had down earlier but i kept trying with it again and again and finally i don't know what happened it let me in and i was able to make an appointment for the 26th of june

                        VFS VISA Stamping - not able to make appointment HDFC receipt error

                        We are entering details on VFS website for booking an appointment for VISA Stamping. I have been successful for entering my H1 details, but when I navigate to enter the dependent (H4) details, the web site gives the below error. The error comes at the point where I enter dependent HDFC receipt / passport details.

                        Error is:
                        ==============================================

                        (a) and (b) we have verified and looks fine.
                        Does anybody know any specific reason this error comes? The HDFC receipt was done on Wednesday 28th Oct 2009 (along with my receipt which works fine). Any pointers or options to workaround this error..? and eventually able to book the dates / fill in DS156/DS157 form?
