Visitor Visa Documents

Dear Experts ,

I am applying the Visitor visa for my parents , and sponsoring them . I am currently in US .
Do i have to send the original copies of supporting documents from US to india or i can scan and send them the soft copies .

i134 ,
I797 ,
Birth Certificate ( is it Mandatory ? ) , can i give something else ,like my 10th standard Marksheet/degree
letter of employment
bank account verification letter

Birth certificate is mandatory. You need to send original copy. Other documents you can scan and send it.

documents are not required

hi Inder,

9 out of 10 times consulate will not ask for any documents for visitors visas..
in my view i134 acts counter productive

you can send with them i797 and bank statements.

NEVER HEARD OF THEM ASKING FOR A BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Visa officer may not ask any of the information but if asked that time you can't give any excuse.
