best visa options

Hello~
My main question is how should I choose which visa I should apply for if in the long run I want to be with my bf in the US?

Some background info: I met him in highschool. I went to America on a tourist visa but overstayed. However I got out before I was 18.

Some snags: in his situation he can't visit me in korea. Because of my overstay I don't know if things like the VWP is good for me.


I see on these sights that people want to do it as fast as possible buy for me if it takes a year i can manage. What should i do?

On visitors visa, you can be in the US only for a small duration.

If you want to be with him for a long term, you should consider getting married to him and come to the US as a spouse.

There is no special provision to be with boyfriend.

You can't come here on visa waiver program because you overstayed. You have to apply for visitor visa but again it will be difficult for the reason you overstayed.

You can come here on K1 visa if your bf is USC and planning to get marry very soon.
