Visitor Visa travel with a gap of less than 6 months

My mother will be travelling from India to US on visit visa in Nov and stay in US for 4 weeks only and return to India in Dec. This will be her first visit to US.

She wants to come back after 5 months in May 2017 and stay for another 6 months. Will there be any problem at the port of entry in May 2017, since the gap between 2 visits is less than 6 months?

I don't think it will be a problem.. Would be a problem if she came for 6 months, went to home country for 1 month, and attempted to come back for 6 months as if she was trying to live here without going through the proper channels...

There is no specific rule but in general visitor should spend more time in their home country than USA.
