Traveling from the US after B1 extension approved.. Any issues in re-enter US?

Me and my family (wife / 2 daughters) have a 5 year B1 Visa. We stayed in the Us for 6 months from as stated length on our i94. We've applied for extension and just approved to stay another 6 months.

My question is it okay for me (alone) to travel back to my home country and come back to the US? i do have strong business ties with my home country, i am staying in the US to establish an office for my company and plan to apply for L1 further Long the road.

From what you described, it does not look like a good idea to come right back after staying in the US for so long on B1 visa.
