Hi,
These are questions she was asked.
1. Q. How many children do you have?
A. One is US. One is India.
2. How much is your home and property worth.
A. $xxx. Also she showed documents showing ownership.
3. How much is your income.
A. $ZZZ
3. Q. Why doesn’t your husband want to join you on your trip.
A. He has an elderly mother to take care of. Also he needs to take care of the younger daughter who is in school. (she showed documents to prove younger daughter was still in school.
He also has some seminars he is scheduled to teach. (Showed invitation letters that he has from different universities, asking him to give short courses; he is a retried lecturer but still does some guest lectures)
4. Q. Does you daughter send you money?
A. Occasionally
That was all. I found it strange that they didn’t ask anything why she wanted to come to the US, or anything about us. (me, wife, child)
Thanks to the forum; we had all the needed documents to make this happen smoothly.
From my experience I would recommend that the Visitor from India; get themselves an agent in India to help them out. Especially if they are older. The agent that my Mom in law used, scheduled the appointment, filled out all there paperwork and made sure the documents we sent were all in order. I think the fee was only $35 USD. Well worth the money spent I think.
No my Mother in Law will be here for 3-6 months…any advice on that !! lol.. Or should we start a different forum??
Thanks again to the forum; and all who answered questions.
