  • Spouse B2 application without a travel plan yet

We are planning to visit New York during the new year, that's just a plan. I have a B1/B2 visa (based on business), but my spouse doesn't have a visa. I am wondering what are the chances of approval of a B2 visa without an exact itinerary? I do not want to get into booking flights and hotel now, and realize later that due to visa denial we have to cancel everything. We both are Indian nationals and permanent residents of Canada.

Itinerary is not required but only tentative date, you can always say buying ticket after visa approval.

You haven't provided any information about your wife's situation. So it's difficult to answer for the possibility of her visa approval.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.

She is a Canadian permanent resident, Indian national just like myself. She has a job where we live in Canada. I just received my B1/B2 visa. Initially I applied for a business meeting, but due to the delay during administrative processing I missed the meeting. I hope I can still visit USA for pleasure/shopping.
