  • Visitors Visa - Fingerprint and Photo

    Hi,
My Mom's visa expired in Dec, 2014. Looks like she is eligible to apply for U.S. visa by putting the documents in the dropbox.
Could anyone please let me know whether she needs to go in person for fingerprinting/ photo and schedule an appointment for this?

    Thanks in advance!

FingerPrint for Visitors Visa (tourist visa)

Thanks! As per the below link, if the visa expired within 48 months, then, the person is eligible for Visa Waiver Program. Please clarify. Thanks!

That's correct. Sorry i didn't read that her visa expired in dec 2014. Then it's less than 48 months so she may be eligible to for visa interview waiver program.

          Thanks Much!
Could you please let me know whether I would get the fingerprint appointment in Chennai for my parent's visitors visa (applying for visa extension) for December first week?

          Thanks in advance!

No, if they are eligible for interview waiver program then don't need to visit OFC for fingerprinting.
