  • What is the right time to reapply once rejected

I stay in US and my boyfriend is in India. He has applied for B1/B2 Visa. But it got rejected with 214b.
He is working in IT firm and owns 2 restaurants in partnership. He belongs to business family, also he has few properties on his name in India.
when he appeared for interview he was having all the supporting documnets for above things but they rejected it without looking into it.

I assume they might have thought that he is single and is in IT. He can easily get settled there. But he has no intention to stay.
I have below question before reapplying:

    1. What is the right time to reapply?
    2. Details and everything will remain same, how can we convince that intention for this Visa is just tourism as he has his business that he won't leave?
    3. We have applied for B1/B2. Was that mistake? Should we apply only for B2 when intention is just tourism?
    4. Booking tickets and hotels will be more convincing?

    Any other suggestions?

    1. You can reapply at any time. But i would suggest to reapply if there is some major changes in your visa application.
    2. Difficult to convince.
    3. B1/B2 same visa category.
    4. Not really.

We are reapplying for B2 Visa. We were thinking to show his job and business both in DS-160 form. How can we do that?
