Is giving Language of interview enough to get the translator during Interview?

My in laws are visiting next month for B2 Visa interview. While I was scheduling interview,it asked for the language of interview and i gave as "Kannada" and nowhere else it asked if we need a translator.

So will they get a translator when they go for the interview or should they request for that somewhere?

Yes. US Consulate will provide the translator if you have chosen language other than English.
