Change DS-160 after scheduling appointment

My mom has her B2 visa interview scheduled on 12/14. Just now realized that we have an error in her DS-160. She is a government school teacher but we have selected Primary occupation as “Education” instead of “Government”.

Is it possible to create a new DS-160 and update the visa appointment confirmation? or should we cancel and schedule a new appointment?

Will this affect her chances of getting her visa?

I also read somewhere that teachers shouldn’t mention the subjects they teach. My mom teaches Math & English and the same has been mentioned in her DS-160. Should this also be changed?

That should not make a difference to the VO's decision because it is primarily based on ties to homeland. During interview it can be explained she works as a govt. school teacher if the question is asked about her occupation.
