Vistor visa I-94 question

Hi,

My parents arrived here on 25th March 2006 on a B2 visitor visa. The immigration officer stamped the date of entry on the I-94 card but did not mention the expiry date. Do we have to default it to be 6 months? If not, How do we have to proceed? (My parents have a ten year visitor visa)

I think it is good to contact Immigration and make sure than assume 6 months.
