preponement in ENGLISH

I would like to know any body successfully preponed/rescheduled appointment in english for chennai consulate.

I saw the otherday dates in july for chennai. But afraid to cancel the existing appointment in aug.

please suggest me is there any chance of preponing? If I see 4or 5 dates earlier than my existing date from current availability section is it wise to cancel and prepone.

But I read that we dont see the same dates of current availability while applying.

U can reschedule once without cancelling it.

I could not reschedule earlier than existing date for english language.did any one tried and succeded.

You cannot prepone your appointment thru Reschedule link. Some people like Rekha and SS92 have preponed but it was for not for English if I am correct.
Only way is to cancel and take a new appointment if earlier one is available, ofcourse you do risk not getting one and losing your existing date also.

hi , let me share my terrible experience with rescheduling. i had booked an appointment on sep 1st for my parents to come over for my delivery ! Seeing some dates in july/august i cancelled the existing one to reschedule. when i filled my new application and submitted it said that the dates are not available. i am trying in vein since then , i now fear my parents cant make it for my delivery. when enquired in person at vss they say that the dates sometimes display in error or are in the process of moving to the recapture pool. i spoke to several of my friends only to know that this happens often. i wish i knew before cancelling

Oh no!!! I am so sorry to hear this Koki.

It is never a good idea to cancel an existing appointment if you find just one or two dates in the availability link, its better to wait until there are a lot of available dates and then do the cancellation.

Hope you will get an appointment soon. When is your due date?

Hi,

I was able to prepone the dates for Regional languages not for the english.
I doubt this option available for english.

I checked with VFS they says you can't prepone but I was able to prepone for regional language.

We were able to pre pone the dates before but now I guess they changed the system on March 25th and 26th, from then we are not able to pre pone the dates.

yep thats what i too hear. the system was changed recently and it is a risk trying to cancel, in order to postpone. several other friends are in similar situation too.

My appointment is in sep and booked under BEP. When asked him to prepone the date, he said he need not cancel the appointment if it is for the first time rescheduling. Is this true or am i being mislead to delay time? PLEASE HELP.

When is the right time to look for any empty dates? Does VFS has any scheduled system updates they do to show up the dates? I've been trying to secure an appt in English for my parents for July/Aug months and never found one..I usually check alomost every hr in the day time (EST).
