Hi,
I am planning to bring my parents here for a visit. I went into immi.com looking for information and I was a bit confused on some details. I will list all my questions and doubts. Thanks for all who answer my questions.
1. I am the only daughter of my parents, I know that it might give an option for them to be a potential immigrant, is there any way where my parents can convince the consulate that they might not be a potential immigrant in this case?
2. Both my parents are working in a private concern right now. Well my mother might get out of her job in a few days. My dad works in a small business in my home town. I read in immihelp that the applicant should provide a leave sanction letter. But my dad's concern is not so big, I hope you can understand it. What should I do about this?
3. The immihelp tells that the sponsor should provide their birth certificate showing the relation between them and the applicant. I dont have a birth certificate as such. I mean I never provided one even in the school, my parents never had a one for me. I know I can submit alternate documents in this case. I want some help on this.
4. How much money should I show in the Bank for both of them?
5. Should both of them attend the same day or on a different day? Which is better?
6. For how long should I show my Bank statements? Should I maintain a good balance for a considerable amount of time?
7. Is there any other documents or ways that I can use to make the VISA officer believe that my parents wont be an potential immigrant?
8. My Dad's name is my last name. I am from Tamilnadu and many people have their dad's name as their last name. But unfortunately my Dad's actual name on his documents is not the same as his name on my last name. Will this be a problem? Or is there any way to show that both the names belong to him? Any suggestions.
Most of my questions might have been met by somebody already. I am just confused and lost. I want to bring them here somehow. I will be very thankful to the people who answer these questions. Thanks for your time and patience.
With smiles,
Deepa.
