Visitor Visa document submission

Hi,

When do I need to submit my sponsorship documents to the VFS/consulate in case my parents are applying for the visitor visa? Is it during the application or few days before the actual interview. I had heard of 2 different verions so got confused .

for mumbai consulate you need to send some docs atleast 5 days before the interview. For other consulates carry all docs during interview.

My parents recently got their visa from mumbai consulate.
U don't have to submit any of sponsor's docs. before interview.
All docs. needs to be carried to interview only.
I was also confused like u before they went for interview.
