  • Visitor Visa for Sister-in-law(brother's wife)

    Hi all amazing community helpers,

I have a question regarding visitor visa for my sister-in-law. Her visa got denied in 2014 with reason 214b(not enough ties to the country) and I was sponsoring her trip at that time.

She is planning to apply again and her situation is changed in two aspects:
    1) She is working now at my brother's business(her husband's business) and is withdrawing a salary.
    2) They have a 2 year old kid too.
Moreover, they will be sponsoring their own trip this time.
So in the DS-160 should I include my contact information? Will it contradict the fact that they are self-sponsoring?

Applicants may chose to disclose whoever is paying for the trip.

The ds160 requires a purpose of visit as well as an address in the US. If the applicant is visiting you, she must disclose that fact. She should also be prepared to answer the reason she's temporarily leaving her husband and 2-yr old behind, if it comes up at the interview.
