Hi,
My Visa is set to expire on 24-Jul-2006 and my extension would be filed 1-3 weeks (hopefully )before the expiry. Meantime, I am planning to invite my parents for a leisure trip. Currently I am in process of taking the appointment date for their interview and the clause says that I need to attach a copy of my current petition with other documents.
Now I have few questions :
1. If my parents get a interview date before 24-Jul-2006 (my visa expiry date),can I use my current petition and incase my extension is already filed can I attach the confirmation letter from INS that I have filed for extension ?
2. If my parents get a interview date after my visa expiry date (24-Jul-2006) and my extension petition is not approved, what all petition documents do I need to attach ? Can I use my expired petition ? and should I attach the confirmation from INS.
3. Also it states that one needs to have a healthy bank account in US to prove that the person can sustain the expenses for the visitors, now what is the approximate amount in USD which makes a account healthy ? :-)
Any other information / clue would certainly be indispensable in this regard.
