URGENT : CAN NOT take an INTERVIEW DATE

Hi,

I Madhur Kulkarni am sponsoring Non-Immigrant VISA for my parents.

I got the Barcode Number from HDFC bank on 27th March 2006.
When I try to enter details of my father’s passport and Barcode number in the online interview date, it doesn’t acknowledge the same.

It says “Please check date of issue of fee receipts”
AM i missing something ?

From what I know, it gets activated exactly in 48 hours. If its still not activated, verify once again all the details (receipt no, name and passport no.). Everything should be the same as on the Visa fee receipt.

Also use Internet Explorer only while booking appointments. I have found often problems when other browsers are used.

HDFC receipt number is just 10 digits. Exclude any alphabets you might see and yah you definitely need to wait for 48 hours.

Yes, I did wait for more than 72 hrs.

Date of issue on HDFC is 27th March'06. I verified every detail with my parents back home again and again.

Do advice.

If 2 days passed the hdfc receipt day, and still not able to make the appointment with the 10 digit barcode call the vfs local office to check any material information is wrong somewhere ( eg. passport number)
