  • Travel Visa Help

    Hi!

I am travelling to the US to visit some friends and to do some sight seeing. I am travelling on a B1/B2 Tourist Visa that is valid for 10 years, but I am unsure of how long I am planning to stay, and was wondering if my decision to stay longer than I told the immigration officer will cause problems for future entry? I am considering applying for a student visa this fall, and I am partially going to the US to see how I like it. Will my decision to stay longer provide me with difficulties obtaining one?

I intend on staying anywhere between 1-3 months, and was wondering how much money I would need in my account to show the immigration officer? What other documentation can I provide to substantiate I do not have immigration intent?

    Many Thanks.

At the airport immigration officer stamp on your passport. You can stay till the expiration date on your I-94 stamp. But it's better you stay in US as per trip length specified on ds-160 form.

There is no exact amount that you need to show. Around $2000 should be good enough.

Documents list and Visitor visa process,
