  • Need Some Help here :-((

    Hi,
I have an appointment for my mother on jun 29th at chennai consulate. But, my I-797 and my husband's I-797 will be expiring in aug. But our companies will be filing for extension soon. Is it okey to send these I-797's which will be expiring in a month after her visa appointment with a letter from work that they have filed for extension or should i cancel my appointment and take a new one in sep , during when hopefully we will be having out new i-797.. Please help me out here. what are the chances of having her visa rejected if she goes on jun 29th.

Any amount of info will be of great help to me.
    Thanks in advance!!

You can send your current I797 however instead of a letter from that they have filed for extension, you can send the extension receipt.

As long as your current visa is valid you should be fine. Provide copy of extension filing.

Your company will have an extension receipt. They get it as soon as they file for extension.
