My B1/B2 visa expired last October (it was issued on October 13th, 2006 and valid for 10 years), and for what I read on the website, I can renew it attending by just for the fingerprints appointment.
But currently, I don’t live in the country where I’m from, I mean, I am Venezuelan, and my last visa was issued in the US Embassy in Venezuela, but now, I live in Chile, and I wouldn’t like to go back to Venezuela just for this procedure.
My question is, can I program my appointment to do the renewal through the US Embassy in Chile, and if so, does the same process still apply (just fingerprints), or would I have to go through an interview? On the other hand, how long do I have to renew it?
Thanks for the information you can provide me.
