  • Visitor Visa (B2) for Wife

    Hi,

I need your advice and suggestion.

I have valid B1 (Business Visa) and travelled to USA earlier as well.

My company wants to send me again on B1 Visa at their client location for business meeting and trainings. This time I am planning to visit along with my wife but she does not have visitor visa (B2).

    I do have few questions:
    1. Does it require to have confirmed travel dates for my wife when she goes for VISA (B2) interview ?
    2. My travel dates are not confirmed and accomodation is not booked. What if consulate asks my wife regarding her staying address ?
    3. Does it really require her to show strong ties in India like family, property, bank balance ?

Seeking your valuable inputs on above question. Also, any further advice or suggestion will be much helpful for us.

    Thanks

    1. Not confirmed but it's better to have some travel plans.
    2. Tell the truth whatever you have written. She can tell will stay with my husband. His employer will make the arrangement.
    3. Yes. You should to prove non immigrant intention.

Please read visitor visa process at,

Only my Mother is planning to travel India to US. Is it ok to apply for only her visa

I work in US on H1B Visa. My Mother is planning to visit us on B2 Visa. My one brother is on F1 Visa in US and my another Brother works in India. my 2 sisters are married in India. My Mother is a Homemaker. My Father is a General Physician, practices Medicine in India. As of now, only my mother is planning to travel to US for 2-3 months. My father may travel in future (most likely for my brother's graduation). From the perspective of getting a B2 Visa approved, Is it fine to apply for my Mother's Visa alone? or would it be better to apply for my Father & mother together?

Better to apply for mother alone now because your father is not travelling. Less likelihood of denial.
