Hi ,
Thanks to VisaChief and all members and senior members on this site.. I followed all valuable and precise suggestions and got my parents visa in first attempt at Delhi consulate yesterday..
The interview happened in Hindi. I was initially worried whether we need to arrange interpreter or something.. But, there visa officers themselves speak Hindi.
Interestingly, they didn't see any documents except:
1. DS 156, DS157 forms
2. Passports
3. My (sponsor's) passport and visa copies
No bank letter, no I-134, no Employer letter asked.
Questions:
1. Where are you going?
2. How many children and where are they ?
That's it..
My parents had return tickets as well; but the officer didn't ask for it. In the end, they took finger prints and said that your passports will come in seven days. My father said that we have confirmed tickets after 12 days. Officer said that you shouldn't have taken tickets before.. Anyway, don't worry passports will reach you before.
Thanks to everyone.
Regards,
kaushal.
