Hi all,

I am new to this web-site and a lot of people advised me to post my questions on this site.

I parents have got an appointment for 26th of April 2006 and i have few questions to get clarified.

1. In the Form DS-156 for item number 28, who will pay for your trip? I have mentioned "Self" but in the invitation letter i have mentioned it that I would be taking care of the expenses? so how should i correct this now?

2. I use 10th marksheet as my DOB certificate, is that sufficient or do i need to get any affidavit of support regarding this?

U can change the DS156 online. Pls search this forum for posts relating to that. If u are sponsoring, u have to provide ur name and relation for Q28.

for the BC, a notarised affidavit from parents/relatives will do. Other option is the notarised first page of matriculation cert.

Now regarding the affidavit for BC, what is the format in which my relatives should provide?

Dahlia, I have modified the required fields online and saved it. What would be next plan of action? I did not find a print-out button in there to take the print-out of the modified one. I think, i would be receiving an email with the modified DS-156 & DS-157, am i correct? please direct.

No , you will not get an email automatically. You can go to apply for non-immigrant visa link. Then enter all relevant details. Then go to download confirmed appointment link. There you can save/download your modified DS156.

Voleti, if you already have a confirmed appointment after modifying the application you can go to "Download details of a confirmed appointment". If you enter the details of the applicant, you will get DS 156, DS 157, Interview Letter and Guidance Letter. In the same screen you will get two options, to either download the forms or email it to yourself.
