DD for visa fees

How much amount we need to take DD and on whose name?
I heard recently that 2 DD's must be taken one for 2300 and the other one for 200, is it true? if not please direct.

I asssume u are talking abt Visa issuance fee. If so, its Rs. 2300 per person. It can be taken from any nationalised bank like SBI that has a branch in chennai. DD's should be taken in favor of 'American consulate general, chennai"
