DS156 DS157 .. How to proceed ? URGENT

Hi,

I'm in process of booking appointment for my parents. I paid required fees @HDFC and got 2 receipts (for both mom and dad).

I went online (VFS Site) and filled DS156 for my dad. After completion of DS156 it prompted me to fill out DS157, which is not applicable for my dad (aged 63). I assume DS157 is only for Men aged between 16-45.

Only other options i'm getting are "Delete Applicant" and "SAve and Exit" .

So how would i fix an appointment now? I need to add my mom's information before i could pick any date. Do i need to enter DS156 for mom seperately or
it will come as part of dad's appointment process ? I tried "Save and Exit" and relogged in ...but getting only those options..

Please help.

Irrespective of the age you have to fill out DS 157. Only then will you get an option to add "Another applicant to the same application"

(DS156 and) DS 157 during interview ?

Can i modify DS156 or DS157 after it submit online ? or after i pick appoinment date .. is there any restriction ?

can reschedule (prepone or postpone) the interview dates later on ?

It is better to carry with them to the interview as well. Its just one additional piece of paper. If its not needed they can just keep it with them.

You can modify them even after taking appointment. However in DS156 fields 1-14 are not editable.So anything after that point can be modified.

You can reschedule the dates. Although VFS says its not possible to advance a date, there are some members on this forum who were able to do it just fine and also got VISAS. Call it a technical glitch or a hidden feature it is possible to do it.
