Marriege b1 visa change of status

Hello everyone

Please i need some advice i come on a b1 visa last year in september i met a girl we fall in love and we just got married last weekend have been staying in NY and she moved to atlanta how soon can we file for my adjustment of status am afraid will be out of status in a few weeks and i dont want to get in trouble with the law.please will appreciate the advice thanks.

if your new wife is a U.S. citizen, you can apply immediately for immigrant status with forms I-130 and I-485 (and supporting documents).
