US tourist visa for parents

Hi,

My parents (both 60+) wish to apply for a US tourist visa. They would be staying with my aunt (my dad's sister) who is a US citizen. They have never applied for a US visa before. I am their only child and working in New Delhi. My father is a doctor and has been into hospital administration. He is currently on a break and will be continuing some independent consulting later this year. My mother is a housewife. Please let me know what documents would strengthen their case? they have sufficient savings and assets to sponsor this trip on their own. Should I mentioned my dad as retired or as 'not working' currently?

Any inputs and advise is welcome.

They can self sponsor their trip. Your aunt can send them invitation letter.

If he is retired from his current job then you can write retired otherwise write not working currently.
