  • Visitor Visa B1/B2 Approved-Questions asked

    Hi All,

Just wanted to share our experience of US visa interview at Dubai we had a month back. The US visa process is one of the most simple and less paperwork.
I have visa of other countris as well. However everyone around me told that this would be the toughest.
My and wife appeared for the visa interview at dubai in january.

    Following were the questions asked.

    Int: Hi, Good morning,
    me: Good morning mam

Int: Can I see your passports please
me: sure mam, here it is.

Int: What is the purpose of your visit
me: We would like to visit US for vacation

Int: Where have you been previously
me: Swiss, Singapore , Malaysia, Austria , Czech , Saudi , Italy

Int: How long have you been in UAE
    me: 6 years

    Int: What is your designation
    me: ((answered it))

Int:could you tell me where you have been working previously in UAE
    me: ((answered it))

Int: Where did you work in India before
    me: ((answered it))

Int: Could you again tell me the countries you have visited
    me: ((repeated the above countries)

Meanwhile she was typing and looking at the computer, after a min, she answered . I have a made decision of granting you visa. Please collect this form and the message for collection will be provided to your phone

Thats all, we left the hall.

no questions were asked to my wife at all. She is a housewife and they didnot ask any documents or proofs.
So the tip is the please fill your DS-160 form honestly and clearly. And during your interview just be normal and not tensed. Confidence and honesty plays a big role.

All the best you guys. For any questions , do drop them

    Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have my interview on Thursday just i want to ask you did you mention that you have any relative in US because I don't have any I wrote the hotel name. Does having a relative has weight in terms to approval or it is nothing to do with it. Thanks waiting for your reply.

      Hi,

I do not have a relative in US, hence i did not specify anyone in the form too. I didnot have a hotel booking too. Just be honest in your application. Thats the most important thing.
      All the best for you

        Hi,

I made a hotel booking because it is asking for the contact in US I don't have any contacts that's why I have to make a hotel booking. And without writing any US contact details the form is not going forward. Thanks

Ok, You can provide the details of the place you intend to stay, Either a hotel or a relatives place or friends place.
