Applying Tourist visa to USA for my wife

Hi,

I'm originally from India and I'm a permanent resident of UK. I have a B1/B2 USA visa with multiple entries valid till Nov 2018. This visa was issued way back in Nov 2008 but I have never used this visa. I have two questions which I believe you guys can help me with:

1. Would my B1/B2 visa still be valid for travel given that I haven't used it in last 8 years?
2. My wife is with me in UK as well. She is on spouse visa and currently not employed. What should we do to apply a visa for her? (ignoring my B1/B2 visa, can I also apply with her to make the process a bit easier? How can she prove that she will return to the UK after a 7 day visit? should she submit our marriage certificate and my visa status along with her application?)

1. You can travel at any time during the validity period of your B1/B2 visa.
