How easy is it to get a B1 visa if someone is sponsoring the trip?

Hello,

How easy is it to get a B1 visa if someone living in USA is sponsoring the trip? What questions to expect from the consular? What are the do's and don'ts? Is the consular going to check my personal documents like ITR or bank statements or would he just ask for the sponsor's documents?
