  • My parents visa rejected thrice-applying again next month

My mother's visa has been rejected thrice and my father's visa has been rejected twice in the last 3 years. We have scheduled another appointment in July. I would like all the help I can get to prepare documents.
My brother also resides in USA. My father is working and has a transferable job. Due to his transfers, he has once applied for visa in mumbai and once in New Delhi but now he is again relocated to Kolkata and they would be applying from there.

Once my husband had tried to sponsor my mother, then my brother tried to sponsor both my parents and then me since I am also working now. This time again I am sponsoring both my parents.
I am on H1 and my brother is on EAD. Do we need to send both of ours documents and bank statements etc.? Could change of location in India be again a reason for rejection?

How can I get Senator's letter? Both me and my brother own properties in India. Could documents for those help in assuring the visa authorities that we are not going to stay here permanently. My father has around 1.5 years of service remaining and he would retire from a very high post in a govt. organization.

I appreciate all the help I can get from you people.

    Thanks,

If you are sponsoring, u need to send your details such as H1, passport etc.. No need of brothers docs.

Eventhough you have properties in India, I don't think it will help getting Visa for your parents. They check whether ur parents have enough ties to go back or not. I assume you have other family members still in India. So in your letter to consulate describe all possible ties/reasons in bullet points. Request the officer to read your letter atleast.

In my opinion, senator letter won't be of any help. U can find some info. here

      keep the spirit up

Good that you're trying again. As dahila mentioned the ties are very important. Write a letter to the consulate showing why they "would come back" - bullet points. Try to keep the letter on to one page. Your father's occupation should be used as a strong point. I'm sure he would have obtained a NOC letter from the employer. Hope you're requesting for 2 months (because requesting for anything beyond 2 months with a job can not be quite justified).

I don't think applying in different consulate should be a problem and the reason is quite obvious with residence change.

Senator's letter won't help much but at the same time it wouldn't hurt so if you get it that's fine otherwise you shouldn't sweat about it.

Just send the documents of the sponsor and other sibling can be mentioned if asked in any of the documents.

Good luck, please do some mock interviews to your parents so that there is no stammering or long answers.

I'm sure they will get it next time.

Apply with facts, not with recommendations. That's not the deciding factor.
        Keep trying.
