  • B2 visa sponsorship

    Hi,
I am from India and traveling officially to the US on my B1/B2 visa (I have already made 2 trips on the same visa through the same company and returned on time). I want to take my wife also this time along for tourist purposes and hence we intend applying B2 visa for her.
My company will sponsor my air travel, expenditure etc. Now, regarding the sponsorship for my wife, I see that it is possible only by a person living in the US. Now, in this context,
Can't I sponsor my wife's trip? If yes, what documentation is needed? If not, should she say 'self sponsor' and show her own bank statements?
Can she tell that she is accompanying me(spouse) for the trip? Will that help or turn against? Or she should say she is going for tourism alone?
Does she need to have a flight ticket for the interview itself?

    Thanks in advance.

If you have resources and income to take her along with you then there should not be any issues. You sponsor your wife trip. She can carry joint bank statements, tax returns, if she is working employment letter.

Yes. Be honest and truthful. It's difficult to say but lying will not help. In fact it may go against her visa approval.

Booking the tickets does not help in any way but she should have detailed travel plans. so just block the tickets and keep.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.
