  • Odds of getting a B1/B2 visa after sylum case withdrawal

    Hello everyone!
I have an asylum case pending for about 2 years. During this time, the circumstances in my home country have changed and I am planning to withdraw my case and come back. But besides I am planning to come back to the US after a while with a non-immigrant visa such as B1/B2 or other.
I am not planning to apply for a visa right after withdrawal and coming back, maybe a year after or so.
Is there a risk of being denied of visitor visa even in case I could provide all the necessary evidence of my strong ties to my home country?
    Thanks!

Without knowing the details of your asylum claim and the circumstances in your home country, intuitively, I expect you to face a very high hurdle in persuading a consular officer to grant you a tourist visa
