Hello,
My parents went to the chennai consulate and had it stamped as "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE". Please help me with ur experience in answering the below questions

01) What does that mean exactly "Is it a query ?"
02) If not then how soon can they reappear for the next interview
03) What are the implications and necessary steps needed to take for the next interview ?

Did they have a prior VISA like an indefinite VISA or something? This is usually used to cancel an existing VISA for a valid reason and not for fraud or misconduct etc. Since February 1, 1995, indefinite validity visas have been considered valid for a maximum of ten years from the date of issuance. Consequently travelers may continue to use an "indefinite" validity visa for ten years from the date of issuance. Travelers who enter the United States with visas, which are more than ten years old, will have the visa cancelled by the immigration officer. The visa is cancelled "without prejudice" and will not affect future travel to the United States. Before you next travel, however, you will be required to either apply for a new B-1/B-2 visa, or travel visa free under the Visa Waiver Program, if eligible.

Hello Thanks for the reply. However my parents never been to USA. The consulate personnel asked for passport copies and my parents were little delayed and also i guess little tensed. So my question again, is how soon can we apply such scenarios ?

You can apply in 6 months from the previous attempt.
