Emergency visitor visa appointment date

Hi All,
My wife is having some leg surgery. we are planning to call her mom to help us.
Is this qualify for emergency appointment date?
if yes what docs do we need submit?
Our doc is ready to give surgery letter does it need to be any specific format?

No. check the vfs website and see who are qualified to get an emergency appointment.

The VFS site says you can get emergency in case of
"To obtain emergency medical care, or to accompany a relative or employer for emergency medical care"

The "to accompany a relative" applies to somebody who is coming from india for medical care or who needs emergency medical in US also?

Medical emergency is going for a special treatment in US which is not available in the applicant's home country.
