  • Documents for a 20 year old.

Hi everyone. I have applied for a US Visa from New Delhi, India. I have the consular interview appointment for 20th of april 2017.
I am a 20 year old college going student and am in my 2nd year. My cousin sister is getting married in August and I wish to attentd the wedding and therefore applied for the visa. And will be staying there maximum for a month.
I am confused about the documents I have to take. It says I need "current proof of income, tax payments, property or business ownership or assets". As i am a college going student and am not working currently, what should i do for this? Should i take my parents current proof of income? Should i not take anything?
    Someone please help.
    Thank you.

      B1/B2 confusion.

      Thanks alot for this!
Also, I have one more question. I want to visit USA as a tourist but my selection for the type of visa is B1/B2 and not B2 alone. Will it cause a problem?

Yes, it will. You are mentioning that you only want to visit for the wedding and that you are 20 year old college going student thus no salary. Then why do you need B1 for? They will for sure ask you that. You are not working for any company then B1 shouldn't be a use for you. It just sounds contradictory to your earlier words. Better try to change that because they will think that your real intention is to work over there.
