How many times can I enter USA on a 6 month B2 visa?

Hi all,

I'm new here and I have done a lot of research but there's different answers to my question. I am 21 years old, work full time, not married, living with parents. I will be applying first time for a B2 Tourist Visa soon as I want to visit USA - Chicago, purely for tourism. I live in the UK but hold a Polish passport. My question is: If I get granted a 6 month visa, then go to USA and get granted up to 6 month stay, would I be able to come back to the UK and go to the states within that period? I would like to go at the end of August 2017 for a week then maybe return in December for 8-9 days as I'll have time off work then.

If this question has been already posted and answered, apologies for posting again but I really couldn't find a straight forward answer.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you are issued a 6 month visa, you can travel here to the U.S. anytime during that 6 months. That can be one visit or more than 1 visit. Your I-94 dates are issued per visit. Your 2 trips mentioned should not be a problem. When you come to the POE for the first visit, you would state your intent is to stay for example for two weeks (for your trip at the end of August), and then when you come to visit the second time, you would state you would like to stay for two weeks or how ever long you are wanting for your December trip. 1- 6 month visa, 2 trips within that 6 months, I-94 dates issued at the POE for each visit. Hope this clears up any confusion.
