  • Visitor visa help

    Hi,

I have a B1/B2 Type visa. I applied this visa through my company because they had planned for my USA visit for a business purpose. That’s what I explained at time of Visa Interview. Business trip has not happened yet.
But I have a personal situation for which I need to visit USA.

I am planning to go to USA for a week to meet a friend. She is not aware that I am coming to meet her.
So I do not have any sponsorship.
I have a hotel booking. I have return ticket.
I work with a reputed company in India. I have a good regular income. I can provide bank statements as a proof.
I also have my Income tax returns that I can show.

Are there any documents that I need to carry?
What kind of queries I might be asked by the immigration officer on arrival before I am allowed to enter USA?

I am planning to visit next week only.

    Thanks

As long as your visa stamps shows B1/B2, personal trip is fine.

You don't need to carry any financial documents. Immigration officer at the port of entry ask for the purpose of this visit. Be honest and answer truthfully.
This is not a legal advice. Use at your own risk.
