  • in-laws Visa got rejected - filing for Parents

    Hi All,

Recently, I filed B2 visa for my in-laws as we are expecting my second baby in July. They went for an interview at Mumbai and got rejected, given 214(b). That was disappointing. Now I am planning to file for my parents who are 60+ and retired. I just want to get an advise on whether I can go ahead and file visitor visa for them or should I wait for some time as I just got rejection for my in-laws?

    Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. As I said my in-laws got rejection recently at Mumbai consulate, they have been given 214(b) which is very generic in terms of finding the reason for denial. Is there a way I can get the exact reason behind the disapproval of the visa? I have read in this forum that one can write an email to USCIS for more details information on this. can someone provide more information or a sample of it?

      Thanks.
