  • 10 years visa granted to Parents - 2nd attempt

My parents were issued 10 years visitor visa in second attempt in Mumbai. I was very nervous about this as I am only child and in US, this was the reason first time they got rejected (officer didn't bother to look at documents first time).

This time we were in luck probably, office examined all the documents etc which were in perfect shape.

One tip I could give to visa aspirants is, if you are travelling for family visit, tourism never ask for visa more than 2 months. First time we asked for six months and it wasn't convincing enough for tourism purpose.

Good luck to all of you!

            Thanks

Thanks for your timely suggestions,, my parents have a interview date with the USAA consulate in Chennai in May 2006, my sister is also working in USA, is this going to worsen the chances of getting a visitor visa?

If both my parents are working,,, will it bring any difference to the situation?
Me being unmarried helps the situation or worsens the situation?

Any suggestion from any one is highly appreciated.

            Thanks,

            Ram

If both of your parents are working its good. It just shows that they have more chances of coming back to India.

Its your biggest plus point I would say.
