Can in-laws renter US after spending initial 3 months in US

Hi,

My in-laws are coming in May last week 2017 and stay till Sept 1st week.

My question is, can they re-enter back again on Dec 2017? or they have to wait 6 months before they can re-enter? Please let me know at the earliest.

The rule of thumb is a visitor must spend more time in home country than in the USA in any 12 month window.. Immigration officer at the port of entry may ask additional question and ask for the purpose of their visit.

You can always take a chance.
