I-134 Inquiry, Please reply . Its URGENT!!!!

Hello All,

I have a query . One our friend is planning to come to New York next month to attend a course. During his stay in US, he will be staying at our house. All the other expenses (Course Fee, Return Airfare, Visa cost and Medical Insurance) will be borne by him. My wife is on J-1 visa and I am on J-2 dependent visa. My wife will wrote the invitation letter.

In this circumstance, if we just send a formal invitation letter to him to stay with us in New York at our residence, do we have to submit the I-134 and send our Bank Statement and US IT return as well?

Please reply, it's URGENT!!!!

Normally, an Affidavit of Support (I-134 and I-864) can only be used if the sponsor has Permanent Resident or citizenship status. A simple invitation letter will be adequate.
