Filled in Kolkata on DS160, but not getting Kolkata option for consular appointment

Hi,

I am trying to get B2 visa for my parents and have recently submitted the DS160 forms selecting Kolkata as the location. I have got my receipt number for scheduling the appointment. While trying to schedule the appointment, I get Kolkata as an option for OFC appointment, but I do not get Kolkata (just Hyderabad) as an option for the consular appointment. Can someone please guide me as to what my options are at this point?

Can I still ask my parents to go for stamping at the Hyderabad consulate (even when the DS160 states Kolkata)? If not, do I have to repeat the entire process with Hyderabad as the location?

I could just help you sharing an experience of a friend.

He was working in Gurgaon, Haryana and his company filed B1 appointment at Kolkata due to early appointment dates.

First question, your application states you work and reside in Gurgaon then why did you apply at Kolkata.

Reply, (genuine) this is what my company scheduled for me. They weren't getting an appointment in New Delhi.

and unfortunately, denied.

I would keep it simple stick to one center and better delayed than denied right?
