Rush Service Available At Chennai !!
I emailed to VFS and this is what i got as reply
Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your email.
Ø Rush service is an optional service by which you may opt to collect your passport across the counter at the US Visa Application Centre located in the city where you were interviewed on the day that VFS receives the passport from the consulate.
Ø Applicants whose interview was scheduled at the Chennai Consulate may avail of the Rush service between 1600-1700 hours.
Ø Your passport will be handed across the counter on the day it is received from the Consulate. If it is not collected the same evening the passport will be automatically dispatched to you by courier.
There is no additional cost to avail this service

that doesn't mean u will get it on the same day of interview. The consulate gives the passport to VFS after 1-2 days of interview. On that day VFS gets the passport, u can collect it by person between 4 and 5 pm. If not collected, it will be courieredComment

I thought i would pick it up at the consulate. Do we have to pick the passport at VFS office? Whats the address in chennai?

This is what i got from VFS :

Kindly note that, VFS will receive your passport you need to collect your passport from VFS application center.
