  • Visitor Visa Appointment

    Hi

I hold an Indian passport and am working in UK from last August. My work permit is till1st Aug 2006. I am planning to attend a 2 day medical conference in USA. The conference is on 2 & 3 June. My visa appointment is on 23 may (no earlier dates) in london.

    What would you suggest?

      Hi,

I am looking for any issues the visa officer might be looking at in my case.

      1. my work permit is till august 2006
      2. but i have a job to come back and my wife is 5 months preganant (she is in UK now)
3 I am planning to show a letter from my employer and a letter from my dept head stating that i would benefit from attending this conference
      4. I will hae 8 days from my visa appointment to my flight date.
      5. I am also planning to show my pay slips, bank statements, my wife's preganacy scan, GP letters about her pregnancy, conference booking letter, hotel booking & flight booking details.

Do you suggest anything more for a visitor visa? The conference is for 2 days only

      Thank you
      dr.pardha

I hold the Indian passport. Can you please tell me whether it would be B1 or B2 ? I am going to attend a Psychiatry Conference for 2 Days. I intend to return on the third day.

What documents do I need to support besides my application and passport? I am thinking of taking the following:

        1. Conference Registration Proof

        2. Letter of Employement from my Hospital in UK

        3. Pay Slips

        4. Bank Statements-3 months

        5. Hotel Booking & Flight details.

        6. Letter from my Dept Head stating how this conference helps my CME (continuing medical education)

        7. Tenency agreememnt in UK

        8. Scan reports of my wife who is 5 months pregnant

        9. A letter of intent .

        I would appreciate your suggestions.

        Thank You
