B2 refusal

I am 38 years old male, married, have my own home and other property applied for USA B2 tourism visa along with my cousinn 33 male married with same status.

We both worked 10 years in our family business as MD and CEO respectively. In August 2015, we formed a new company as partners and sucessfully countinued its operations.
We still have our family business as well.

We filled the form with each and everything same except personal data. We did not have any contact adress in USA. so we wrote hotel adress for this. Our annual income is 1.8 million p a.
On interview day, we reached there at 8 am as time was 9:30. A long que was there. I was asked to take counter no. 3. A young guy was there.
Vo: how r you
Me: fine and you?

Vo : fine.
Me: pas him my pasport

Vo: so why r you going USA?
Me: for tourism

Vo: where in USA?
Me: Newyork

Vo: have you travelled any country ?
Me: yes. Thailand (4 times), Malaysia (4 times), UAE (2 times), KSA (4 times).

Vo: okkkkk and start typing
After 1 minute he said sorry i cant give you visa.

Me: thank you and came out.

After 5 minutes, my cousin came out with visa approval. He was asked to take counter 4.

Amazing. Same aplication same status. Same business. Same salary and incone. Same form filling but diferent result ---------?

Can any one explain the reason for my rejection? And his acceptance.

Now i want to re apply as we both want to travel combine. What should i do ?
Any suggestion ?

The only thing I know is that sometimes the input to the process is the same but the final result is not...I know a case were brother and sister applied in different dates to visit a parent working on L visa and just one of them got approved. So, there is something else they investigate before and/or during the interview. That is why combining family applications probably makes sense. Not sure if you could do this with a cousin. Hope the experts can help. Inadmissible seems to have a lot of experience.

well, sad to know that, but first of all, the VO didnt practically asked you any question apart from where all you have travelled, wondering you didnt make any mistakes in the DS-160...and you and your cousin, same age ? same education ? and same business ? is it a joint business ? are you partners ? secondly why you both didnt apply together ? thirdly you should have tried asking him after he refused..why anything specific,? you can reapply and give a strong financial answers about your work and income, otherwise wait and go to europe and uk once and then apply..once you have been to these countries usally you get usa visa..

one of my friend got rejected the similar way, but he insisted politely and you wont believe it was reviewed immeidatly and was granted, all he said, sir my income is 50,000/- usd PA convereted from indian rupees, and i have proofs and income tax returns and my bank statment of citibank...the visa officer heard him and said wait..he checked again and granted him visa...but offcourse there is no gaurantee that this would have worked in your case...personally it happened many years ago with me for uk visa, though i had a schengen visa, the uk vo after interviewing said no, the reason he said that i am not clear where all will i visit in my trip, i honestly i said i dont know and i havnt planned, and i said once i am there i will decide what to do ....he said he is not convinced with my answer, i asked why, i started asking question on why it not possible that a person after visiting may decide on what he wants to do depending on what deals he gets there, i also insisted to look at my financial and credentials and my travel history, after sometime another vo came, they went inside and they came out said your visa is approved. well i understand usa visa procedure is totally different...cant really comment on what went wrong, but i personally feek if its denied like no question and straight no, then you must ask why...big deal its anyway refused...
