  • Husband has been granted a B1/B2 Visa - query

    Hi all

Due to an old driving offense my husband applied for a tourist visa with the American Embassy in London and thankfully was accepted, he now has a 10 year B1/B2 visa.

We have booked a holiday to Florida but I was just wondering if we need to do anything else?

I can apply for the ETSA and have used this system before when I went to NY earlier this year with no issues, but does he have to inform the US that he is planning to travel there? If so how can we do this?

Also, when we arrive in the US will my husband just show his visa and be let through or will we have to go through a different process? Like questions/documents/extra security?

    Thanks in advance,
    Haylie

If he has received the US visa, he can just travel to the US. No other additional process is necessary.

What nationality you hold ? If you have been granted a B1B2 visa usually there is no problem at the border control , their standard questions what is the purpose of your visit , you say tourist and where will you stay , you show hotel booking and address and how long you intend to stay you tell them , that's all
