b2 visa for mother,pls advice

Hi!
I am pregnant with twins and my due date is in july.I want to cal my mother from India to help me and stay with me.She has taken date for the interview for mid may.I have been reading and hearing from people that pregnancy is not considered a good reason for purpose of visit so I have told her to say that she wants to go see her daughter and tourism.My question to you is:

1. Is the reason for visiting daughter and US good enough?
2. secondly I have mentioned her stay of visit is 6 months .Do they accept s i6 months conviently for tourism or 3 months is better to mention?

Yes. Ask her not to tell about your pregnancy until they ask her that is your daughter pregnant? But if they ask, it is better to tell the truth.

It is always better to ask 3 months or 4 months. Do not ask for 6 months.

Always better don't disclose about the pregnancy. If they ask for the purpose of visit then better tell about the tourism. Ask them to feel free and talk like the "Neighbourhood talk". This is the advice I have given to my mom.

Also nowadays the chennai consulate is more liberal and they are not "torturing" the old people if they are 55+. However make sure you have proper document on everything and prepare as given in IMMIHELP site.
