self sponsored trip-what douments required?

Hi!
My mother has interview date next month and I have mentioned that she will self sponsor her trip as she will be paying for the round air travel.
Though I have following doubts-

1. when asked during the interview who is sponsoring your trip,she will answer self,but if she is asked who will take care of your expenses in USA -should she say my daughter or say self (as it is a self sponsored trip)?

2. Secondly in case of self sponsored trip do I need to send any documents except my birth cert,visa and passport? do I need to send i-134or any invitation letter?
Pls help I am confused?

1. Well, a self-sposnsored trip means not just the air travel but the expenses for the whole trip. If she opts to self-sponsor, make sure she can show enough funds to back up her statement.

2. If she is spending her own money for the trip you need not send an I-134
which is an affidavit of support. YOu can send the other documents you mentioned.
